Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) recently announced its newest Veteran initiative: There’s No Place Like Home – Veteran Partnership and Giveaway. One franchise territory is to be awarded to a qualified Veteran candidate in the U.S. or Canada on November 11, 2017 (Veteran’s Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in Canada), to specially honor one Veteran with the gift of an independently owned franchise business. This includes any of the three HFC franchise brands, Budget Blinds®, Tailored Living® and Concrete Craft®.

Gary Zimmerman, franchise owner of Budget Blinds serving Westford, MA, was recently interviewed by the Lowell Sun in Boston about this giveaway and the veteran-supportive culture at HFC and said, “They’ve always been a very veteran-friendly franchise. They really helped me get started with the business.” After 21 years in the Air Force, he moved his skills into franchise ownership with Budget Blinds in 2015, acquired a second territory in 2016, and strongly believes that business ownership is a valuable option for military people transitioning to civilian life. “You gain a lot of skills from military service, and a lot of those translate to running a business.”
